Webba grows into the largest web agency in Drenthe.

Jan Leijssenaar and Edwin Gels join forces in the largest web agency in Drenthe

In 2020, a year in which the corona crisis hit hard, Jan Leijssenaar and Edwin Gels joined forces. The companies dotsolutions and Webba merged as of 1 January 2021, becoming the largest full-service web agency in Drenthe. Not only in Drenthe, but also in the Groningen and Overijssel regions, it can now be deployed as a partner by businesses, governments, education and healthcare.

Digitalisation

One of the priorities in which the regions of North and East Netherlands want to invest is digitalisation. This will become increasingly important for businesses in the coming years. That’s also the main reason these two companies joined forces, to be able to offer even more knowledge and quality.

Services

Webba will not only continue developing websites and webshops, but also custom applications with which companies can achieve more profit in the digital field. Examples of this are ordering and planning systems, but also internal communication platforms in a web or app form. Making these products findable and visible with the help of online marketing also remains an important part of the service offering.

Training

With the merger, Webba has become an interesting player for northern vocational and higher vocational education programmes. Webba has become a training ground where students can learn from experts in all branches of the internet, in the fields of strategy, technology, design and online marketing.

The municipalities of Hoogeveen and Emmen

The response from the municipalities of Hoogeveen and Emmen has been very enthusiastic. Emmen’s alderman Guido Rink and Hoogeveen’s Jan Zwiers welcome the merger. According to Guido Rink, this development fits excellently with the policy in which he wants to stimulate digitalisation and manufacturing industry. This in order to contribute to the economy and employment in the region.
